My Bio

After a successful, established career working in the defense sector, I was left yearning for something more. Something that would take me back to my technical roots in computer science and experience the cutting edge. It was time for a life pivot and I followed my passion for data to pursue a career in data science, you know the so-called sexiest job in America, the number one in demand profession, a fantasy life where high tech unicorns make ridiculous D3 visualizations solving all the worlds problems. At least that’s what the slick sheet said. This blog is an attempt to document my journey, all the stumbles, fumbles, insights, and successes. Follow along.

Vitals:

  • Age: 36
  • Location: The 95% Confidence Interval between NYC and North Jersey
  • Background: B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Information Systems. Both from The New Jersey Institute of Technology (Go Highlanders!)
  • Interests/ Hobbies: Die-hard NY Mets and Chicago Bears fan; sports geek who likes the outdoors; staying active running and adventure races; music of all genres, concert goer; indy wrestling fan; craft beer aficionado and part-time home brewer; foodie. My philosophy is there’s no problem a good song, a good beer and some good food can’t solve, especially in the company of great friends. That applies to data science especially.
